Most people can resume many normal activities relatively quickly after a root canal. In the meantime, here\u2019s more on how you can support them during the first few days and make the process more comfortable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They May Have Some Tenderness<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It’s normal for the treated tooth and surrounding area to feel tender or sore after a root canal. The discomfort is usually manageable and should gradually improve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can help by making sure they follow their dentist’s instructions and take any recommended or prescribed medication as directed. Don’t encourage them to take more medication than recommended.
